11 objects
11 instructions

pick up one object and one instruction (without open it) and see what happens...

instructions:

-this is your boy/ girl friend. love it, have sexual relationship with it, treat it well, care about its feeling. play erotically and make both of you warm. give as a present when you have done, to one audience who you would like to have same relation together.

-find a way to use this object, in a way it has never been used like that before. speed should be slow, even like a slow motion. when you finish, do it again but as how everybody would do with this object.

-you have to connect, or make a body extension with this object. make it in different ways, connect to different body-parts, once you find your favorite position with it, connect together with someone in the audience.

-Imaging this object is a character, play with it like a puppet theater, make up a political play only by the moment, no text no sound. at the end, give it as a present to someone in the audience.

-you have the right to distort this object, do it in your way, better without violence, gently make it die.

-This object is you. if it doesn't look like, make it like you, visually but also metaphorically, tell us a story about you together with the object, a secret about you or what you are ashamed of.

-Check around the space in a way like an animal. arrange the objects, both in the space and on the table, find a good spot where you feel comfortable and stay there, make some noise with the object you choose.

-eat it, drink it, it is what you need all your life, get all your needs from it.

-this object belongs to the space, try to find a relation with anything in the room, use a lot of your body, big moment and loud sound, but carefully think the movement before you move.

-to this object, don't touch it, and try to make a improvisation relate to it, the action should be strongly connect to the function of the object.

-this is a magic object, make some magic if you can, show us a magic show, even it fails.

“Only a god hungry for imperfection in himself and outside himself, only a harrowed god could imagine creation; only so unquiet a being can pretend to a similar operation. If, among the factors of infertility, wisdom comes first, it is because it endeavors to reconcile us with the world and with ourselves, it is the greatest misfortune that can fall over our ambitions and talents, it makes them wise, in other words it kills them […].”
Emil M. Cioran, The Fall Into Time (extract)

Any revolution, be it political, cultural or artistic, is the result of a denial of wisdom, a refusal to submit to silent but oppressively established standards, a willingness to break with the world and with oneself. It requires an inevitable return to origins, to the very essence of animal - to the impulse, either creative or destructive, though still vital. Because wisdom is unconsciously perceived by humans and by societies as a danger - a threat of a spiritual, emotional and physiological loss – to free oneself from it is the pillar of survival. Almost always violent and unexpected, the antithesis of moderation and prudence, this break ordinary expresses itself in tantrums, bouts of fever even at the price of inner loss. It is at in the heart of the act of rebellion and creation.
It is this current set of issues that the exhibition The dangers Of Wisdom proposes to explore, through a series of performances, a photography project and a site-specific installation in the course of the “Month of Performance Art Berlin 2012”
